Well in the absence of information there is always rampant speculation!Archetypes seem to be Natural, Clone, Genmod, cybord, and Loonie. Out of those Loonie sticks out the most since it's the only origin of them. It also doesn't include Bioroid which I assume will be included.
It also suggests a Martian archetype. Natural looks like average human from the core book. G-mod appears to pick a mod at character creation, in this case muscles.Favors stick out on the sheet. It doesn't appear they have to be balanced at character creation so my guess is given favors will cost points at creation and owed will provide some? Or maybe these characters only start with some since it's a con game and normally you'll get them in play?Netrunning might be what I'm most excited about. Zoey has a rig that can equip 2 icebreakers and 2 pieces of ice.
These probably correspond to hacking and sysop. These both have strength, but not the types from the cardgame. There must be more differences than just strength though since there needs to be a reason to have 2. In the card game crypsis, the icebreaker she has is flexible with the draw back you have to spend actions putting virus counters on it. For the RPG I wonder what the different advantages will be.Also I like that pretty much everyone knows about Aditi, but no one talks about it. It is a significant change from the LCG for sure. Presumably, they're switching from an asymmetric system to a symmetric one, with the sysadmin trying to counter-hack.
Looking through the Genesys core book's hacking section the sysadmin can atempt to trace the Hacker and then lock them out, the hacker's ICE in this might make that more difficult. The hacking section in the core book also has three security programs, which are the ICE equivalents. They each have a strength and a secondary effect like causing strain if the hacker fails to shut them down. The Ice Wall in the character sheet though is strenght five, compared to Strength 3 for the firewall in the core book. I'm guessing that in the Android book it will be something like the hacker has to roll an Average Hacking test to shut down the program, scoring a number of successes equal to at least (ICE strength - ICE Breaker strength) to succeed.
